Gear hobbing machines from MHD Werkzeugmaschinen are designed for high-speed machining of cylindrical gears in large quantities, often in the workpiece range up to 350 mm diameter. The series is well established in the world market due to the combination of compact design and robust drives. All gear hobbing machines in this series have a direct drive via torque motor for the workpiece table and a direct drive for the tool spindle, thus enabling precise and efficient machining of spur and helical gears.

The major subassemblies of the machines are made of cast iron with excellent damping properties, properly designed for absorbing all process-related vibrations.

The latest Sinumerik 840D sl control technology with digital drives is used on the machines. Input of few parameters in dedicated screens is sufficient to create the work programs and to start the machine.

Our intuitive user interface with input screens allows operators of all generations to learn how to operate our gear hobbing machines within a short period of time.

FMZ 300H

FMZ 300H – horizontal gear hobbing machine for shafts up to 300 mm diameter

The FMZ 300H horizontal gear hobbing machine – a robust gear cutting machine from MHD Machine Tools for machining shafts up to 300 mm in diameter.
Our horizontal gear hobbing machine offers the latest technology for efficient production of shaft parts with cylindrical
spur or helical gearing.

The machine is designed for frequent adjustments and has an easily accessible work area. The BG3 milling head is available in two speeds, users can choose between. reinforced power transmission for high milling feeds or high speeds for milling cutters made of carbide or MC 90.

MHD machine tools has a clear and comfortable user interface with a large-format touchscreen was developed. The operating interface is divided into different levels that can be selected via horizontal and vertical soft keys. A maximum of 2 screens are called up per level for data entry, whereby the data entries are limited to a few values required for tool, workpiece and machining. Operators of all generations quickly find their way around the menu and can work safely and reliably with gear cutting machines from MHD Werkzeugmaschinen after just a few days of familiarization.
