Retrofit gear cutting machines provide considerable savings potential to manufacturers.
The main advantage of a retrofit is the significantly lower investment outlay compared with the acquisition costs of new machines. Customers do not have to do without the latest technologies even during a general overhaul, because state-of-the-art controls and digital axis drives can also be used for the proven mechanics of existing gear cutting machines.

A record and evaluation of the actual condition of the existing machine are carried out in preparation for each retrofit project. Based on the findings, MHD Werkzeugmaschinen defines the scope and sequence of the retrofit together with the customer and prepares a project offer. Customer requests for possible adaptations and extensions are taken into account and integrated into the project.

During the general overhaul, our experienced specialists reconstruct the geometric accuracies on all machine assemblies. As a result, reconditioned gear cutting machines achieve the manufacturing accuracies of a comparable gear cutting machine.

Trained operators of all generations can easily find their way around the menu and can work safely and reliably with the machines we have modernized after only a short familiarization period.

The operator dialog of MHD Werkzeugmaschinen meets the greatly increased demands for flexibility in Germany as a manufacturing location. For example, preparations for changing the product to the next workpiece can be made even while the machine is running. Operators enter data for new workpieces and work programs in parallel to the main time, thereby considerably shortening the subsequent setup process.
