A recording and evaluation of the existing machine’s actual condition is carried out in preparation for every retrofit project. Based on the findings, MHD Werkzeugmaschinen defines, together with the customer, the scope and procedure of the retrofit and prepares a project offer. Customer requests for possible adaptations and extensions are taken into account and integrated into the project.

During the general overhaul, our experienced specialists rebuild the geometric accuracies on all machine assemblies. As a result, overhauled gear cutting machines achieve the manufacturing accuracies of a comparable brand-new gear cutting machine.

By integrating our newly developed, user-friendly operator dialogue we are able to provide a high level of operational convenience. Skilled operators of all machine generations easily find their way around the menu and, after only a short period of familiarisation, can work safely and reliably with the machines retrofitted by us.

The operator dialogue at MHD machines fulfils the greatly increased demands for flexibility in Germany as a manufacturing hub. For example, preparations for changing the product to the next type of workpiece can be made while the machine is running. The operator enters the data of new workpieces and work programmes during main time, thus considerably shortening the subsequent setup process.
