The company develops, designs and produces gear cutting machines. Founded by Dietmar Drechsel, a graduate engineer, in 1990, MHD Werkzeugmaschinen has over 30 years of experience in this sector and provides customised applications for gear manufacturers in a wide range of industries.

Quality inspections based on random sampling

during running production can be carried out using our gear measuring instruments. We offer measuring machines for single and double flank rolling tests for cylindrical, bevel and worm gears. An analytical measuring center for high-precision measurements on cylindrical gears completes MHD’s sales programme.

Gear hobbing machines with direct drives in the table and hobbing spindle guarantee high-speed machining of the highest quality. Electronic slanting guides in combination with adjustable axial slides reduce setup times for gear hobbing machines and ensure optimum utilisation of machine times. Our bevel gear hobbing machines for straight and spiral toothing are designed for the use of carbide tools.

When creating machine concepts, we attach great importance to energy efficiency, because new gear cutting machines from MHD Werkzeugmaschinen are exclusively equipped with energy-efficient motors and units. We also make sure that auxiliary units are controlled as required, thus contributing to reducing CO2 emissions.

All gear cutting machines from MHD Werkzeugmaschinen are equipped with Sinumerik 840D sl controllers and our innovative in-house user guidance. Data inputs are made via a 19″ touchscreen.
