Gear hobbing machines from MHD Werkzeugmaschinen are designed for high-speed machining of cylindrical gears in large quantities, often in the workpiece range of up to 350 mm in diameter. The series is established on the global market due to the combination of compact design and robust drives. All gear hobbing machines in this series have a direct drive via torque motor for the workpiece table and a direct drive for the tool spindle, thus enabling precise and efficient machining of spur and helical gears.

The machines’ main assemblies are made of grey cast iron featuring outstanding cushioning characteristics, ideally suited for absorbing any process-induced vibrations.

The machines are equipped with cutting-edge Sinumerik 840D sl control technology with digital drives. Process monitoring and data export according to Industry 4.0 standards are warranted. The machines are capable of being automated using ring loaders or gantry loaders.

Our intuitive user interface with input masks allows operators of all machine generations to learn how to operate MHD gear hobbing machines within a short time.
